How does Tag Parrot index pages?
There's no need for secret techniques when it comes to getting your pages indexed swiftly – we rely on the official Google Indexing API, designed explicitly for this purpose.
Here's how it works: Tag Parrot seamlessly reads your website's sitemap and empowers you to submit pages to the Indexing API either manually or automatically, enabling Google to index them efficiently.
To facilitate this process, each user will receive a dedicated Google Cloud service account. This account acts as the intermediary between Tag Parrot and your website, facilitating smooth communication with the API. Rest assured, this service account is unique to you and operates exclusively on behalf of Tag Parrot and your website.
The Indexing API enforces a daily limit for indexing, currently set at 200 pages per day.
Now, let's talk about the advantages of using the Indexing API over manual methods. Imagine if you were to inspect each URL individually in Google Search Console and request indexing one page at a time – it would be time-consuming and labor-intensive. With the Indexing API at our disposal, we can automate this entire process, ensuring your pages are swiftly indexed without the need for manual legwork.
Please note that Google recommend that this API is only used for short lived content like JobPostings and BroadcastEvent, however the API does happily process any page type you submit, as long as there are no other technical SEO issues. To date, we have not seen any sites that have had content removed or been flagged by Google.
